Parentesi by La Gallina Matta Oval Placemat
The name "Parentesi" means brackets in Italian. These lovely coasters are made in Italy from pure coated (or "oiled") linen and finished with a custom double border embroidered with mercerized cotton. The range of colors is incredible for both casual dinnerware and the most sophisticated fine china. What's wonderful and unique about these pads is their unique coating that makes them stain and crease resistant. Caring for parentesi pads is easy. If something is spilled, simply wipe it with a damp sponge. Heavier soiling can be machine washed on a gentle cycle using cold water with a mild detergent. Air dry evenly (tumble drying not recommended). If you want to iron, use the lowest steam setting on your iron and iron the opposite side covered with a towel. Note that it is normal for about 3% shrinkage after the first wash.
